McDonald’s is adding a new menu item

McDonald’s giveth. And McDonald’s taketh away.

Just after announcing it was cutting three menu items, McDonald’s is reportedly getting ready to launch a sweet new treat.

According to @Snackolator, an Instagram account covering food news, McDonald’s will soon introduce a new Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry. The development was reported by Delish.

The sweet and crunchy treat has already been tested in parts of California. It reportedly features vanilla ice cream with a mix of peanut butter, cookies and chocolate.

It’s rumored the new treat will be available late July or early August after the exit of the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry.

The Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry isn’t the only item leaving the McDonald’s menu.

Earlier this month, McDonald’s announced it was discontinuing three McCafé items – the apple fritter, blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll – less than three years after they debuted. McDonald’s will keep its chocolate chip cookies, baked apple pie and frozen desserts on the menu
